The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against 10 then police personnel of Wadala Railway Police Station, Mumbai (Maharashtra) and other unknown persons U/sec. 119, 166, 166(a), 193, 199, 200, 201,202, 203, 217, 220, 295(a), 302, 324, 331, 342, 347, 348, 367, 377, 506, 107, 114, 120-B & 34 IPC r/w. Sec.4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 18 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 r/w. Sec. 23 of Juvenile Justice (Care) and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 r/w. Sec. 29 of Police Act on the orders of Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Bombay in CWP No.2110/2014 directing CBI to start a fresh investigation into the matter relating to the alleged custodial death of Complainant’s son on 18.4.2014 and custodial torture of others.
The Hon’ble Court further directed CBI to record the statements of Complainant as well as the witnesses afresh and register a case.
The case was earlier registered by the State CID.
